Our Holistic Approach

Welcome

6.png

I’m Takiya, a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW, LCSW-C), and I’m honored to walk alongside individuals and couples as they navigate life’s challenges and move toward meaningful growth.

My professional journey has taken me from community-based settings to the deeply personal space of private practice. In every environment, I’ve had the privilege of supporting clients through anxiety, depression, major life transitions, relationship dynamics, and moments of feeling “stuck.” These experiences have shaped a therapeutic approach rooted in warmth, collaboration, and deep respect for each person’s unique story.

Life can feel overwhelming at times — whether you're managing stress, working through relational challenges, navigating trauma, or seeking deeper connection and clarity. My role is to create a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel supported exploring your thoughts, emotions, and patterns with honesty and courage.

I draw from a variety of therapeutic modalities and tailor our work to your individual needs. Therapy with me is not one-size-fits-all — it is personalized, intentional, and collaborative. Together, we’ll identify tools and perspectives that resonate with you and support lasting change.

In addition to anxiety, depression, and life transitions, I have experience supporting clients with trauma and PTSD, anger management, spirituality, medical or physical health concerns, and intimacy-related challenges. No matter what brings you here, you don’t have to navigate it alone.

As your therapist, I am here not only to support you, but to empower you. Healing is not about fixing what is “broken” — it’s about reconnecting with your resilience, your clarity, and your capacity for growth.

If you’re ready to begin — or even just curious about what that next step might look like — I would be honored to be part of your journey.

Therapeutic Approach

At Boundary & Grace Therapy, I take an integrative and client-centered approach to therapy. Each person and relationship is unique, so treatment is tailored to your individual experiences, goals, and readiness for change.

My work draws from evidence-based modalities that support healing, self-understanding, and meaningful change.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy explores the connection between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. This approach helps clients identify unhelpful thinking patterns, challenge negative beliefs, and develop healthier coping strategies.

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

Solution-Focused Therapy is a goal-oriented approach that emphasizes strengths, progress, and practical solutions. Rather than focusing solely on problems, this method helps clients identify what is already working and build upon those successes.

Solution-Focused Therapy

Motivational Interviewing is a collaborative and non-judgmental approach that helps clients explore ambivalence and strengthen their motivation for change. It supports autonomy while encouraging meaningful, self-directed growth.

Motivational Interviewing (MI)

Person-Centered Therapy focuses on empathy, authenticity, and unconditional positive regard within the therapeutic relationship. This approach creates a safe environment where clients can explore thoughts and emotions openly.

Person-Centered Therapy

This approach helps couples develop healthier ways to communicate and navigate conflict. Therapy focuses on understanding communication patterns, improving emotional expression, and learning practical tools to resolve disagreements constructively.

Communication & Conflict Resolution Therapy

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is an evidence-based approach that helps couples strengthen emotional bonds and create more secure, supportive relationships. EFT focuses on identifying negative interaction patterns and fostering deeper emotional connection.

Collaborative & Empathetic Care

Treatment at Boundary & Grace Therapy may incorporate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and other evidence-based approaches depending on your needs and goals. Therapy is always collaborative, thoughtful, and centered around supporting your growth and well-being.
